In his extraordinary first book, five-star hotelier Robin Sheppard tells the tale of a remarkable journey. From having the world at his fingertips to being struck down with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a disease which kids the immune system into getting the wrong message and attacking itself, Robin was suddenly paralysed from the neck down. His book will have you laughing and weeping in equal measure. He tells his story with a black sense of humour, punishing wit and saucy belligerence.

Both programmes will begin at 12:00 noon when the authors will talk about their work and experiences, and read from their books. Lunch will follow at 1:00 pm and there will be plenty of time to discuss the books and have your copies signed by the authors. Tickets for the event are £39 per person to include the presentations, a three-course lunch, wine and coffee.
